About Me

I’m Delfino Rosales, an IT Professional with more than 9 years of experience in IT operations, software/app support, and cloud technologies.
I thrive at the intersection of problem-solving and customer engagement.

Over my career, I’ve worked with leading companies such as Atlassian, Oracle, HumanAPI and HCL Technologies, focusing on areas like cloud support, incident management, escalations,
security incident response and pre-sales solution engineering.
I bridge technical depth with clear communication — whether guiding teams, mentoring colleagues, or demonstrating product value to customers.

I’m fluent in English and Spanish and certified in Cybersecurity (ISC)² CC, Atlassian Cloud Administration, Managing Jira Cloud Projects,
Artificial Intelligence Fundamentals (IBM), and Cybersecurity Professional (Google).
I also keep learning, exploring Python, REST APIs, Linux, Cloud Technologies, Containers and the fast-evolving world of Generative AI.

Beyond the tech, I care deeply about knowledge-sharing, multicultural teamwork, and creating spaces where innovation and collaboration flourish.

Aside from work, I enjoy traveling, walking in the forest, listening music, playing videogames, and spending time with my family.

Why "Mictlan"?

Mictlan is the name of the underworld in Aztec mythology, the final resting place for souls who have completed their journey.
For centuries, this concept has been a cornerstone of Mexican culture, reminding us that death is not an ending to be feared, but a natural transition.

Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is a vibrant celebration of this belief that happens every November 2nd.
It’s a time when we don't mourn the dead, but instead joyfully honor their memory and, for that day, we welcome their spirits back to the world of the living.

My website's design embodies this symbolism.
The dark background mirrors the underworld, while the bright marigolds and luminous skulls are the beacons we use to guide spirits home.
Aztec Marigolds (or cempasuchil as we call it in Mexico) are known as flor de muertos (flowers of the dead), their bright color and strong scent creating a path for the souls.
The colorful skulls, or calaveras/calaveritas, are a playful representation of our ancestors.

Through this project, I wanted to create a digital space that celebrates my heritage, a bridge between the world of technology and the rich traditions of Mexico.
